Wild turkey feather

Reveler Conservation Area

Reveler Conservation Area. We came across a site where a turkey had been killed, probably by a coyote as there was a lot of coyote scat amidst the scattered feathers. Sad to think of the poor bird being caught, but the coyote also needs to eat. Coyotes are omnivores as much as carnivores, and much of the scat found at this time of year is full of the pits and even skins of wild fruit.
