WE FOUND A NICE RING AT ONE OF THE WATERFALLS

Harry and I found this waterfall by accident back in the film days, so that dates it mid 2001 or before. We were looking for Big Falls at the time. I'd been meaning to go back - never did. I suggested this when I got to Harry's on Friday and there was no question. Then Cathy called Saturday morning and decided to meet us at the trail head - she hadn't seen either #2 or #1. The plan was to start at #2 then walk the river back up. In Kevin Adams' new waterfall guide, he calls this waterfall #2 lower section of Thompson River. The trail down the bank to the base of the waterfall is now fairly well defined. There was tape marking it today, but don't count on it. Remember that places like this and other out of the way ones I post are no stroll in the park. Don't go unless you are prepared to spend the night if you get hurt. Rescue probably won't reach you before dark, and that's when the blood sniffing carnivores come out looking for the injured.
