Curious viewers information.
I bought my first digital SLR early in the life of ProSumer with one of the first 100 Nikon D100s in the US. I soon bought a second because my hobby was getting out of control. I was always frustrated about the poor flash sync so in June of 2005 I bought a D70 for "location shoots". Still limited by the CCD noise and larger print sizes my clients were ordering I purchased a D2X two days before writing this. Used it for 'real' once and so far love it. [updated february 2006] After 9 months of shooting the D2x I had racked nearly 75,000 shots and became worried I'd wear that beauty out. I bought a D200 as a "lower backup" but realized it was a very likable camera. I desire a D2xS but know something else is around the corner so now I toggle between the five cameras. Since I saw very little use on my first D100, I converted it to infrared with lifepixel's service. Great result when you get the white balance right (now I'd like to have the D200 that way since I can use color temp for WB). In early 2008, after considering a migration to Canon I took the chance on many amazing things I'd been told by trusted Canon users who tried the latest Nikons so I bought the D3. It's very hard to use the other cameras at indoor and off-season events but due to the 2 DX lenses, I still often use those 1.5x sensored cameras.
