Photos are beautiful; thanks for sharing. Yesterday I saw a Rufusided-towhee, think that was one; dark head, beige sides and burnt lite orange underneath; beautiful bird; first one to ever see. Would they be in our area? Have you seen the alcoa.com site with the eagle cam? Watched the two Eagles last yr. raise three eaglets;they are on the nest again. love the site. Added you to my favorites.

Enjoyed your photos, especially the fish, as i love fly fishing. I was interested in your pictures of trout from bowmans creek near Harveys lake. Spent many a day fishing and swimm ing at Evans falls on Bowmans as a youth. Spent many summers camping at harveys lake in the 50,s and 60,s. hope to get back to bowmans this spring . I took a picture of a heron with what I thought was a fish in it's bill. On a closer look this "fish" seems to have at the very least two front paws and a kind of thick flat tail. May I send you a picture of it please for identification? Your photos are magnificent and I will come back often.

While searching for images of American Chestnut trees, I came upon an image of an Indigo Bunting. Being ignorant of the existence of such a beautiful bird, I then changed my search to images of the Indigo Bunting, which led me to your page. How fortunate for me! Your pictures are all so beautiful and I am discovering so many different species of bird that I never knew existed. Thank you for sharing these gorgeous shots. Everything here is just breathtaking! Now I am going back to look at all of your photos. Guess I won't be getting much done today.

I especially liked the flock of geese in front of the moon. I was thinking how long you need to wait for such a sight until I noticed that the flock is the same as in the previous picture of geese. Nice work though.

Would love to use your images of tiger muskellunge and striped bass for a field guide we are publishing on Ontario's fishes. Hello, I am a volunteer and member of Greater Ozarks Audubon in Springfield, Missouri. You have some absolutely stunning photos. I'm a birder, and have a Nikon 995 plus scope, but unfortunately not the patience of a photographer. However I can admire an artist's composition and talent to capture wildlife at its best. Thanks for your kind comments Muskrat. About 175 bird species pass thru Central Park in an average year. Unfortunately, Pileated Woodpecker is not one of them. Your bird and nature photos are excellent - I'll need lots of time to go through them all.

Marty....they sure are "sight" to see. We have a few pair that frequent our woodlot, here in PA. A tough bird to photograph...even when you get close, they NEVER stay still...they are in constant motion! Good Luck! Muskrat

Muskrat,I live in a heavily wooded area of central Oklahoma and recently spotted the largest and most colorful Woodpecker I've ever seen.Thanks to your site I identify it with the "pileated".My attempts to photograph it were unsuccesful, but what a sight.It must have been a good 12" tall as it was perched on the side of the tree.I'll be watching for it and have my camera loaded.

I live in an area heavily populated by many different birds and have always had a hard time recongnizing each one even though I see them every day when they visit the many feeders I have for them. That's one incredible buck. I grew up in Bucks/Montgomery, Co. Pa and spent a lot of time in Wyoming, Co. camping and fishing. I don't ever remember seeing deer like that. Great capture!
