You have an amazing set of images here, Julian. I envy you being able to spend all the time you have in Japan. You are obviously completely integrated in the culture, and show it marvelously.
Best wishes, Yves

Julian -
You helped me find the "kitchen street" today. Thanks again -- I loved it! These photos are fantastic. I am very interested in the different faces of Japan, and you have quite an eye for character, expression and lighting.

I was told today that we can get free tickets for our show ("Trip of Love") on Monday night (May 5th) at 6:30. Would you like to come with friends/family? To get more information about us, go to www.tripoflove.com. We are performing at Theater Brava next to Osaka Castle. Let me know ASAP at mrelin@hotmail.com!
Take care, Mahri

Dear Sir,
My name is Probir Bikash sarker. A Bangladeshi national have been living in Japan since 1984 with my Japanese wife. I have a daughter.

Recently I was requested by a friend to write an article on Geisha for his small little newspaper, so I need to include some Geisha's pictures with the writeup. Could I use some Geisha pictures from your site.
I would be very much greatfull to you if I earn your kind permission.

With best regards.

I was directed to your site because I am doing a series of geisha paintings in watercolor. Your geisha photos are truly wonderful. I am curious if these are geisha or the tourists who come and buy the full geisha makeup and costume and then walk around the Kyoto district? I also wonder if you ever grant permission to use any of your images for references in other art mediums?
Thank you.

Hi Julian,
your gallery is great, I like the photos very much. I'm fond of portait pictures.
I'm from Hungary, just "hobby photographer" also travelling a lot (Europe). (26 years)
I'm using a Canon EOS 3000N with 28-80 + 70-300 lenses. (And spend on films ISO 200 and 400) I'd like to upgrade to a D300 (this is the cheapest SLR, but good reputation)where I could use my lenses as well.
How much do they cost in your country. (USD or Euro)

Julian,

True Jewels. You've captured some very comtemplative faces amongst your Vietnam portraits. That's what impressed me the most. What are these people thinking?- It was so easy to be touched by their humanity and to have seen that it has not been washed away by modernity.

Hi Julian,

These photos are stunning. I am a colored pencil artist and I am wondering if you ever allow these photos to be used as an artistic reference? I am very inerested in the possibility of discussing this with you via email. Please contact me at my email address and if you are interested at looking at my art site, it is: www.thechameleonstudio.com

Thanks so much!
