We actually travel every other week, closer to 1600 miles a month. My old and weary bones can barely handle that. Thanks for your kind comments about my Granddaughter.

Hi Jim!

Thanks for visiting and commenting. Your guess was close, but not enough. The answer is: inside gills of an upside down mushroom.

Regards Jorma

I'm glad you liked them. I was kidding my daughter that if she'd been along, she would have been a real distraction to all the young trainees as they manned the yards, the rails and all that.

Thanks for your comment on my PAD picture. I enjoy your gallery - just wanted to let you know that America remembers 911 as we look at what London has gone through.

Hello Jim , thanks for taking a peek at my gallery, just started and seem to be making a hash of it at the mo. No doubt a little time and trial and error and maybe I will get to display things a little better.Any tips would be great if youve time. You have a vast collection of good natural shots ,from many fields .Which is your fondest area and like me did you originally use and swear by film (Slide)? How did you find my gallery as its only a trial at the mo ?

Actually my S602 is in semi-retirement right now but my daughter will be using it a little later this summer when we visit the east side of the Sierra Nevada This, shot, which is from a year before may have been taken with the converter installed.http://www.pbase.com/gillettecraig/image/19087867

Some of the shots in my San diego gallery are with the TCON as well, I'd had some other comparison shots up but may have removed them just before thy bumped up our space allowance. Figues.

It's interesting to see the Huntingdon shots, really there's nothing in California from prior to the Spanish colonial period, most notably the missions which were established beginning about 1770 or so and much of what we see of most them is actually reconstructed to some extent or another. About all we have besides artifacts of the Indians before the Spanish are a number of areas with rock art or grinding stones.

Jim, thanks for your remarks on my photos, Some answers to your questions..I spend about a hour a day with the geese depending on weather and my job. We have a neat park which we are very proud of..The local people have taken these geese under their wings to say, and are well liked. They are messy, but have a personality of their own. In other parts of Canada they can become a pain in the butt. That's life, we like them...I check your photo when I get some time to see how your doing..I enjoy other work...Take care...Ron

Love your pussy photos Jim! They are so cute when they are little babies. We are looking for another Tuxedo baby, but they seem hard to find. At the present time we only have 5 beauties :)

Ani (the Boss/wife) will enjoy these shots when she gets home from work. Thank you for sharing them with us.

Jim --
Thanks for your comment on "Baby snapping turtle with paparazzi" . That's renowned photographer Marijke Holtrop, shooting on the Assabet River NWR.

Thank you for visiting my galleries and giving such nice comments. Regarding taking pics of fish, I just use flash and a macro lens and shooting kind of sideways as not to get the reflection from the glass. The fish are from our aquarium at home. Regards. Ann
