I don't think that I have seen such a fine collection of photographs anywhere else, except for some rather legendary figures such as Steichen or Adams. Dear Wei, You are absolutely right. Using PS can definitely give more life to the photos. Your galleries are great examples of it. I am also interested to learn some PS techniques. Since you are great at it, could you recommend me some materials I can use to learn PS? Thanks a lot.

Thank you,Goodfisher. I do use photoshop to do post-processing. Usually I cannot get the good pictures directly from the camera, so have to do some adjustments in PS, such as curve, contrast, saturation, color to B&W, etc. Sometimes it is fun to get some special effeccts from PS too. Wei

Thanks for your comments on my photo! I used a flashlight shining through the basket and then once the shutter was open on the camera I used a water spray bottle in front of the basket for about 30 seconds. I didn't know if it would work or not...was just an idea that popped into my head. Once again, Thank You.

Wei, Looked your great galleries with lots creative pictures and enjoyed quite a bit. Some of the pictures remind my 5 years in Madison (90-95)and I still miss those beautiful lakes, fishing, skating, and free zoo (still free?). I have a few friends here in New York who lived in Madison before as well. I all came from engineering (ERB and EE). You've a great job on your pictures and keep them coming. Yi Feng

wei, thanks for your many kind comments on my galleries. i really love water, its reflective qualities, and the way it can be shot in motion. when all the elements come together--a brilliantly colored sky, a perfectly calm reflective surface, some beautiful foreground elements--it can be just breathtaking.
