Message from Michael Ng
Hello and thanks for dropping by.
I was born in the beautiful sunshine state of Penang, Malaysia. Photography became one of my many passions when I was a freshman in high school. Magazines such as Time and National Geographic inspired me to create images of my own. Thus at the age of 13 I got my first camera which was a Nikon F601; a camera that is still with me today.
Photography took a backseat for a couple of years before it took off once again when I left for the United States for my degree in Electrical Engineering. My four years at the University of Michigan opened up an immense opportunity for me to gain experience and learn more about the art. After graduation I decided to return to Malaysia to begin my career.
Photography to me has such an appeal because it is an endeavor that brings together two elements that deeply interest me, which are art and electronics. Being a photographer has also opened up many opportunities for me to travel and meet with people from all kinds of walks of life. And the best thing about photography is that it is a lifelong activity. As long as you treasure memories, your camera will always be by your side.
